Habib Punja · Strategic 7-Hand War
♿ Accessibility Features
Designed for Everyone

Habib Punja was built with accessibility in mind from the ground up. Whether you have color vision differences, are playing in varied lighting conditions, or simply prefer clearer visual cues, we've designed the game to be enjoyable for all players.

WCAG 2.1 Guideline 1.4.1 Compliant – Never relies on color alone

🎨 Colorblind-Friendly Card Suits

Each suit has a unique color AND font style so you never have to rely on color alone to identify cards. This is especially important for:

  • Players with red-green colorblindness (affects ~8% of men)
  • Older players with age-related vision changes
  • Anyone playing in low-light environments
Spades – Dark & Bold
Hearts – Red & Serif
Diamonds – Orange & Italic
Clubs – Blue & Rounded
💡 Tip: Even in low light or with color vision differences, you can identify suits by their font style: italic diamonds, bold blue clubs, sharp narrow spades, and serif hearts.

🔔 Visual Alert System

Important game events appear as colored toast notifications in the corner of the screen. Each color represents a different type of event and every toast also includes an icon and short label so meaning is never conveyed by color alone:

  • Green – General information and confirmations
  • Yellow – Someone bought a card from the discard pile
  • Orange – Warning! An opponent extended your sequence
  • Blue – AI player published their sequences
  • Gold – Victory announcement!

📜 Message Log

Flash messages can move fast during gameplay! Click the 📜 Log button at any time to review all game events at your own pace.

  • All toast notifications are recorded with timestamps
  • Review what happened while you were thinking about your move
  • Log clears automatically when you start a new game
  • A badge shows unread message count

⏱️ Buy Window Timer

When a card is discarded, you have the opportunity to "buy" it before play continues. The game gives human players extra time to make this decision:

  • Human players: 8 seconds to decide
  • AI players: 3 seconds (faster to keep game moving)

Watch for the countdown timer on the Buy button. If you don't act in time, the opportunity passes to the next player. Future updates may allow players to tune these timers for additional accessibility and comfort.

🎯 Card Selection & Touch Support

Selected cards are clearly highlighted with multiple visual cues:

  • Golden outline around selected cards
  • Lift effect – selected cards rise up slightly
  • Selection counter shows how many cards you've picked

On mobile devices, tap to select cards. On desktop, you can also drag cards to manually reorder your hand.
